I noticed this signage a little while back and got a kick out of it. You gotta love this one in the spirit of “Truth in Advertising” for taking on the big national brand and stating pure fact. In these strange economic times it makes me wonder how long these little mom & pop operations can last. This particular example sits in a mostly gentrified neighborhood in Chicago full of brand new condo buildings and 4 sushi restaurants within 3 blocks. How can they compete with the massive brand engine that is Blockbuster with their massive marketing power? Perhaps more importantly, how will ANY brick and mortar movie rental store survive in this the age of Netflix and Hulu?
